Already presented in the previous article, Kevin Cooley is an amazing American photographer. Cooley’s work is characterized by lovely colors, breathtaking locations and an enviable light-play that gives each photograph a unique personality.
His series twilight photographs taken in New York and California as well as in Spitsbergen island in the Arctic. The gorgeous, snow-covered landscapes are punctuated with bright, often times, colored lights.
Some of his series are about his complicated relationship with nature, his quest to be a part of it but to also conquer it.
“Part of the reason I was drawn to the Arctic is because it’s sort of the end of the earth—an uninhabited place. It’s places like that where you’re directly confronted with this epic idea of nature.”
A beautiful dose of inspiration and nature
